Improved Outer Tactical Vest

The IOTV is a full coverage body armor system, providing more area of coverage than the original Outer Tactical Vest (OTV). This side-opening, over-the-head donning system is approximately 2 pounds lighter than a comparable size OTV and has a single pull cable release system for rapid doffing during emergency egress situations. This Modular system with removable Groin protector, back/kidney protector, yoke and collar assembly, left and right deltoid protectors, allows for tailoring the load/coverage based on the mission.

Unique Characteristics:

  • MOLLE webbing for equipment attachment and the cummerbund provides secure yet comfortable load management
  • System back equipped with a man down drag strap to assist is emergency movement of a casualty
  • Durable outer Cordura covering is flame resistant treated
  • All ballistic panels approved for combat use by the US Military
  • Can be outfitted with NIJ level IIIA+ commercial ballistics.
  • Easy loading front, back and side ballistic plates.
  • Available in multiple colors and camouflage patterns.
  • All components available for easy upgrades and replacement of lost or damaged items.
