Bulletproof Vest Partnership (BVP)
Established in 1998, the Bulletproof Vest Partnership Act was enacted to save the lives of officers by assisting to equip state, local, and tribal law enforcement officials with ballistic and stab resistant vests. This U.S. Department of Justice initiative provides priority funding to jurisdictions with less than 100,000 persons and will pay up to 50% of the total vest cost.
